Always had a wonderful experience here. Staff takes your order promptly. My to-go order was done in a flash :) My favorite drink is the Lavender Basil Matcha drink!! You do have an option to get this with dairy-free milk alternative, which is a plus. It’s yummy year round. The assortment of pastries are fresh and tasty too. Plenty of street parking along both sides of the road and there is also parking behind the building. I always stop in when I’m in town!

One of the absolute top 10 places in Winston- I recommend it to folks constantly. The vibes, the wonderful staff, the decor are all great. But also, the product itself is incredible! I *love* chai and order it everywhere, and theirs is hands down the best I’ve drank locally; they also have lots of wonderful vegan options in their pastry case, usually including at least one savory vegan pastry! (And really well made- most people probably do not realize they are vegan.) I have been here quite frequently over the last several years, and it’s literally always a highlight of my day.

today was my first time dropping by Chad’s Chai and I can’t express in words how delightful this quaint, cozy, and fabulous this place is. the Jitter Bug green tea, coconut and pineapple cake (can’t recall the actual name) were both 🤌🏾 found a nice table in one corner of the establishment and completed my final presentation for this term. many people were plugged in and signed in (great free WiFi connection) working, sippin’, and snacking. the atmosphere was peaceful and entertaining the entire staff were all very friendly and attentive. the owner Chad made me feel right at home. also, Eurydice (who works in the back conjuring up their exquisite blends of the tastiest teas in town) bestowed me with her captivating energy and she had me smiling from ear to ear. love her! if you’re visiting Winston-Salem or if you’re a local that is looking for a nice/chill/study/work/social interaction - stop by Chad’s Chai! looking forward to to going back tomorrow to complete another project and indulge in some more of the delicious treats they offer 🍵 🍰

I would recommend the London Fog; it’s light, refreshing, and aromatic. The pecan orange cranberry scone and chai chocolate chip cookie were yummy. Interior is well decorated and there’s a reasonable amount of seating, mainly 2 person tables inside and some 4 person tables outside. Food and drinks were served very quickly.

Chad’s Chai is such a cozy, intentional space and instantly makes you want to slow down. I ordered a chai latte that was smooth, comforting, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet—and paired it with the chocolate chip cookies with chai, which were deliciously chewy and rich. The atmosphere is warm, filled with natural light and greenery, and feels perfect for a quiet moment to yourself or a relaxed catch-up. Best for: slow mornings, journaling, or a cozy coffee (chai) date. A true local gem and absolutely worth the visit.
